Best for Broward Babies

On the 17th of January – on Martin Luther King Day – we proudly counted among Best for Broward Babies’ collaborators and friends in proclaiming the support for the important mission they started on fighting infant mortality in Broward County, through outreach and education, helping provide the ways of making their voice loudly heard. BrightPink Studio helped by designing the new b4Bb.org website, along with their logo, brochures and banners.

Designed to draw attention to the alarming black fetal and infant mortality rates in Broward County, the project intends to be a county-wide community and government campaign of sensitizing and educating the Afro-American and Caribbean-American population on the mother and baby care issues.

Having the great opportunity of collaborating once again with Ari Glassman of rAv Communications, we harvested her bold vision and turned these great ideas into a creative educational website. This time we supplanted the usual pastel colored cutesy-baby look with a more daring urban-grunge layout, to better reach the targeted Broward County black community. The unique design is furthermore enhanced by the artistic touch of the creative black and white images. The colorful dropdown menu offers easy access to all the website information, while the side menu enables navigation within each category and makes it even easier to browse the website.

To simplify things even further, we created this website using WordPress, which makes it very easy to keep it updated with new information and articles and takes advantage of plug-ins like the events calendar and the parent’s forum (to be launched soon).

But the website is only one step of a much wider project: from the “baby cubes”  logo to banners and brochures, this campaign started on Martin Luther King’s Day parade with an incredible enthusiastic public reception. Pointing out  the preventable fatal events, this campaign will be taking baby steps each day to make a difference on baby care and protection and we are really happy to be a part of it.

And if our short presentation made you curious about this campaign and its purposes, please visit the Best for Broward Babies website for additional information. And if you want to know more about us and what we do, don’t hesitate to visit our website to see all of our work, at BrightPink Studio.
